Abstract 

The book summarizes the results of mesoeconomic studies presented in contemporary academic literature in English and Russian. The intradisciplinary structure of modern mesoeconomics is identified and justified. It includes the mesoeconomics of clearly localized structures (mainly industries and regions); mesoeconomics of network structures; institutional mesoeconomics, and mesoeconomics of reproduction. The book focuses on results achieved in two areas. Firstly, we introduce institutional mesoeconomics as the most powerful stream of mesoeconomic research to date. Secondly, we report the results obtained in mesoeconomics of reproduction which is a new original field researched at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow, Russia). It relies upon the provisions of the new theory of capital reproduction and institutional views on money circulation. The book is meant for economists and students of economic departments who are interested in modern research in the field of heterodox economics.
